Our Cattery: A Tranquil Retreat for Your Feline Friend
At Diggers Den Tenerife, we understand that cats have their own special needs. That’s why we’ve created a calm, secure, and fully separate cattery designed to offer a peaceful and stress-free experience away from the dog hotel. Our brand-new facility is built with your cat’s comfort, safety, and happiness in mind, providing a soothing environment where even the shyest feline guests can relax and feel at home.
Each suite is spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully furnished with cosy bedding, hiding spots, stairs, and elevated shelves - perfect for lounging, climbing, and napping. The cattery has plenty of natural light, and we provide gentle background sounds to maintain a calm atmosphere.
One of our most loved features is our purpose-built outdoor 'catio'—a large, secure open-air space where cats can enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and natural sights and sounds in complete safety. The catio gives our guests the freedom to explore, stretch, and observe the world around them, providing enrichment that indoor-only catteries simply can’t offer.
Your cat will receive individual attention, playtime and cuddles (only if they want them!), along with a variety of enrichment such as toys, scratch posts, and secure viewing areas. Whether you’re away for a weekend or an extended holiday, you can rest assured that your cat is being cared for by dedicated professionals who treat every guest as part of the family.

Our purpose-built cattery combines comfort, safety, and stimulation to create a true home-away-from-home:
• Spacious, Private Suites:
Each guest enjoys their own generously sized suite, complete with cosy bedding, scratching posts, and toys for entertainment. We can accomodate up to three cats from the same family in each
suite.
• The Catio – Safe Outdoor Enjoyment:
A fully enclosed, secure outdoor area where cats can explore, sunbathe, watch birds, and enjoy fresh air while remaining completely protected.
• Underfloor Heating & Seasonal Comfort:
Underfloor heating keeps sleeping areas warm and cosy during winter, while wall-mounted fans ensure a comfortable, well-ventilated environment throughout the summer.
• Safety & Security First:
The facility is equipped with secure, sneeze-proof partitions and controlled entry points to prevent escapes and reduce the spread of illness. Security cameras also monitor the
area for added peace of mind.
• Enrichment & Play:
Daily one-to-one play sessions, climbing frames, cat trees, toys, and soothing background music keep our feline guests mentally and physically stimulated.
• Personalised Care:
Our trained team tailors care to your cat’s personality—offering extra affection for sociable guests or peaceful solitude for those who prefer it.
• Stay Connected:
We provide regular photo updates so you can see how your feline friend is enjoying their stay.

Important:
All cats staying with us must vaccinated with the following:
- Rabies
- FPV (Feline Parvovirus)
- FeLV (Feline Leukemia)
- Chlamydia
They must also have proof of being FIV (Feline AIDS) negative and have had a recent flea and tick treatment. Bookings may be cancelled — and deposits forfeited — if these requirements are not met. Proof of current vaccinations must be provided before your cat’s stay. Please note that we are unable to administer oral medications.
